How to Identify the Right Omnipure Water Filter Before Ordering

Omnipure replacement water filter cartridge

Omnipure cartridges can look very similar, so appearance alone is not a reliable way to choose a replacement. The safest approach is to identify the exact cartridge and confirm it against your equipment documentation.

1. Find the model code

Check the label printed on the cartridge. Codes such as Q5420 or Q5421 10M are more useful than colour, shape or packaging because they identify the specific product family and specification.

2. Check any filtration specification

Look for information such as micron rating, filter media and any performance information printed on the cartridge. Do not assume two cartridges with a similar body are interchangeable.

3. Check the physical connection

Compare the cartridge format and connection used by your current system. If you are uncertain, refer to the equipment manufacturer's replacement-filter list or service documentation.

4. Match the exact model where possible

If your existing cartridge is clearly marked Q5420, the simplest route is to replace it with the same model. The same principle applies to Q5421 10M and other Omnipure codes.
